Everyone had different definitions of Peace.  To me, peace does not mean having no conflict.  It means solving your conflicts peacefully.  Conflict is not the opposite of peace.  War is.  Conflict is inevitable, no matter how big or small. And conflict is not necessarily a bad thing.
Every story has to have a conflict.  It would be boring without conflict.  Conflict adds a purpose to your story, a direction.  If you had no conflict, there would be nothing to strive for, nothing to do.  People are interested in other people's problems.
Through conflict, you get connected to the character.  The character grows and learns when they overcome conflict.  That kind of conflict is needed.
Another kind of necessary conflict is when you bicker with someone, you need to argue to fix your problem.  If you don't you bottle your feelings up, and you don't resolve your problem.

Conflict in Music

In music, there are harmonies and different combinations of notes, just like there are different views and beliefs coexisting in our society.  You can work hard to make harmonies sound good together, just like you can work to accept the beliefs of others.
Peace is possible and conflict is inevitable because there are different notes that you can put together in a song to create different harmonies that can express conflict and peace.
An atom has both positive and negative particles, as well as neutral ones.  If any one of those particles is missing, we wouldn't have atoms, which make up everything in our world.  Just as the atom has opposing charges within it, so does our society with different ideas and beliefs.  In an argument, you have two different sides, as well as a neutral position.  We have many different religions in our world.  In many places, people can live side by side with people with different beliefs.  Even though they don't agree with each others' beliefs, we still call that peace, because they aren't going to war over it.    In some cases, there are wars over their differences in religious beliefs.  Conflict appears in many different forms.  War is an extreme case.  Having absolutely no conflict is an unrealistic goal.  To me, world peace means not solving your problems with violence.  Peace is not a perfect world where everyone gets along, because argument is a natural human behavior.  Conflict is inevitable.  But at the same time, there is still peace.

Peace and conflict can live side by side.  Both are neccessary.
Having absolutely no conflict is an unrealistic goal.  I dont think it is even desirable.  I think what people are striving for when they say they want world peace is a non-violent way of solving conflict.

Every story has a conflict.  Conflict is what moves your story along.  Without conflict, your story would be boring and unbelievable.  Conflict gets people thinking about their own lives and what they would do personaly in that situation.  We are naturally interested in how situations change and stories unfold.  You need conflict to move the story along, or you wouldn't have anythig to write about.

When there is no conflict, there is no need to change or grow.  With conflict, you have the opportunity to learn from past mistakes and improve your life and your society.  We can't learn or grow without conflict.  If we study history, we will see that there are many different people in the world and it is neccessary to learn how to be fair to everyone.  It is hard to find a compromise that will please everyone.  By learning from how past conflicts were dealt with, and growing from them, we can improve things for the better.

Is Conflict Inevitable?

I think conflict is inevitable.  Conflict is a big part of our lives.  Think about it.  Everyone has different views.  Everyone doesn't agree on everything.  If they did, we would all be the same.
Conflict can be war, or it could be a non-violent dissagreement.  Either way, conflict is a normal part of our lives.
I am making a blog for my english project. Our subject is Peace and Conflict. Peace and Conflict is a big subject, and I thought making a blog would be a great way to cover everything.
